Selling the trip of a lifetime, one itinerary at a time

The brief

Bucket List Treks organises outdoor adventure holidays, including trekking, guided tours, safaris and expeditions, to destinations such as Nepal, Tanzania, Namibia, Uganda and Kenya.

A trek like this is a big purchase. People dream first and check the details second: how hard is it, when does it run, what does it cost. The website has to serve both moods.

What the website had to do

  • Inspire visitors with the destinations
  • Give each trip the detail buyers need
  • Add a shop without distracting from the trips

What we did

The decisions that shaped the project, and why we made them.

  • Destinations and itineraries

Visitors can browse by destination or go straight to itineraries such as Kilimanjaro routes, Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit.

  • The details that decide a booking

Itinerary listings show difficulty level, travel dates and price, so trips are easy to compare.

  • Photography that sells the place

Each tour page has its own photo gallery.

  • A travel kit shop

An online shop sells branded clothing and kit alongside the trips.

  • Staying in touch

A newsletter sign-up, Instagram and WhatsApp links keep the conversation going with people who are not ready to book yet.
